Nothing online yet about a car-jacking reported by the Orland Park Police in a late night robo-call to residents.

The call reported a car-jacking at 167th and LaGrange Road around 2 am, warning residents that police were conducting a field search for an individual described as being 6 foot 5 inches tall.

That would put it at around Orland's Marcus Theater parking lot.

  5. Are you people crazy? Why wouldn't you want to know that there was a car jacker in your area running around with a gun???? Sorry to disturb your sleep but I felt better knowing OP was clearly taking it seriously and trying to do all they could to support the village.

  6. If you live in the area and had your windows open to enjoy the cool weather you would want to know if a criminal is fleeing through your yard. the guy might still be hiding in the forest preserve off 167th and lagrange - whats left of it since most of it got chopped down.

  7. I got the call at 2:10 am and could not fall back asleep, but I am glad I got the call so I know. You can get yourself off the list if you do not want to be bothered.

  8. Sorry crime doesn't happen when you guys are awake from 9 to 5.

The police are trying to alert the village. I was pleased to get the call!

Sorry to bother you during your sleep, but their was a carjacking not far from our homes.

  9. I didn't mind getting the call because my front screened window was open. Personally if there's some dude walking around the police want, I'd rather know about it than not. So a 2 am call didn't bother me at all.

  10. Sorry to you non- sleepers But staring down the gun at 12:00 didnt let me sleep at all last night... and the 6 hours i spent in a room and iding the person so they know who to look for was a little scary. I work for at the resturant and walked out to my car like a normal night... to have a gun in my face! It saved me to run to a friend i walked out with that was a parking lot away... he took off in my car with a girl and that department you are B**ching about stopped my car and the girl he was with. Now me know who and what he looks like... So SHUT UP about ur one night sleep lock ur doors and windows and dont walk out alone!!!

  11. I think the Patch and the Southtown finally published stories on the incident. It started at the Red Lobster with a car jacking ... the suspects, man and woman, used a BB gun. Police gave chase, to a dead end near 167th and LaGrange Road and the driver, the 6 ft 5 in guy ran. I wonder if he has been caught yet?

The 2 am robocall doesn't bother me at all. But I am glad so many people care about this kind of thing.

  12. If the guy is on my block, call me. If it's miles away, forget it.

They should robo-call residents when the village board steals $62Million from the taxpayers for an apartment complex.

  13. I usually get their robo calls but did not get this one. I live near 157th and 80th so I'm wondering if they only called selected areas.
